Bible

The Bible is the inspired word of God and is the final authority in life and doctrine.

God

There is one true God, eternally existing in three Persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Creation

God created the world and by His power He sustains all He has created. See: Genesis Commentary

Jesus

Jesus was miraculously born of the Virgin Mary and became flesh and blood without ceasing to be God. He lived a sinless life. He died on the cross as a perfect sacrifice, paying the debt for our sins. On the third day after His death He arose from the dead showing His victory over sin and death. He appeared to His disciples and then ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of God serving as our mediator.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit regenerates, makes people aware of their need for Christ. He indwells and empowers the believer. His presence in our life is a seal and guarantee that we are God’s children. He gives believers spiritual gifts to be used to help others.

Salvation

Salvation is a free gift of God. The death of Christ on the cross is the only sufficient payment for our sins. This salvation is available for any who repent and put their trust in Christ as Savior.  Those who, by faith alone and through no merit of their own, receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior are miraculously born again of the Holy Spirit, sealed, accepted, forgiven, God’s children, empowered to be more and more like Jesus.

Growth

Once believers received the gift of God’s grace, the Holy Spirit empowers them to live a life of obedience, service, and honor to God. This is the result of salvation, not a cause of it.

Church

The church is the Body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue the task of reaching the lost and discipling the saved, helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Baptism

Baptism is the believers entrance sign into the new covenant, and the first public demonstration of faith in Christ

Lord’s Supper

The Lord’s Supper is the believers ongoing sign of the new covenant. It is a reminder of Christ’s finished work on the cross and looking forward to the certainty of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb

Hell

Hell is real. Unbelievers will be separated from God’s presence.

Day of Worship

We must not neglect meeting together for worship, fellowship and setting aside time for God. Under the new covenant, we are not to judge anyone with regard to the Sabbath day or day of worship.

Return

Christ will one day return and all believers will be forever with God. See:  Revelation Commentary
